I stopped at the sewing center to drop off one of my sewing machines to be serviced last week and mentioned that I would like to buy a serger soon. Of course they were on sale and the sales lady showed me all the fun stuff they do and how easy they are to work. Then she told me the price - boo hoo! But all was not lost - she just happend to have a second hand one that she would sell me for less than half price! I couldn't resist!
I tried for 2 days to make it work, no luck - so I stared at it across the room while I used the other machine for the next two days. Finally, I read the instruction book and wahoo! It worked. I made the most awesome seams around the necks of the new bibs - I have lots of other projects in mind, but probably not until the craft shows are over.
No bobbins to wind, no seam trimming to do - nice professional looking edges. Sigh, it is my new best friend!
Private, for real this time. =/
